Schmidty legt seit mehreren Jahren im Päff, einer der beliebtesten Kölner Clubs auf, in Bonn zudem im Cafe Blau.

Mencer Vermello nace en el ano 2004 en Ferrol(Galiza), cuando cuatro jovenes decidimos juntarnos y formar un grupo de musica. Al comienzo teniamos claro dos cosas: una era que queriamos ser un grupo comprometido con la realidad social en la que nos toco vivir y otra, era hacer la musica que a todos nos gustaba y escuchabamos, el punk, el oi y el ska.

Influenciados por el camino dejado por grupos como Xenreira o Kortatu, nos pusimos manos a la obra y bautizamos al grupo con el nombre de guerra de Mencer Vermello(Amanecer Rojo). Rapidamente nos pusimos a componer y a sacar alguna version o adaptacion a la “gallega”. Tras largos meses de ensayos damos el salto a los escenarios con un primer concierto bastante satisfactorio al cual le seguirian otros conciertos repartidos por la geografia gallega en los que, poco a poco, fuimos avanzando y madurando tanto a nivel musical coma en nuestras letras.

Desde el principio definimos nuestra musica como Rock Proletario Galego, y hoy en dia formamos parte del Rock Proletario Internacional, canal de expresion a nivel internacional de las ideas englobadas dentro de esta corriente cultural. Y hacemos nuestras sus ideas.
Nuestras composiciones son monolinguisticas. A nivel de grupo consideramos que el galego es el vehiculo perfecto en el que realizar nuestra musica. Siempre lo tuvimos claro, teniamos que alejar la idea geralizada de que solo los grupos de musica tradicional cantaban en galego, tambien otras musicas tenian que sonar en nuestra lengua. Para nosotros es posible, aqui y ahora, hacer musica nacionalista, de izquierdas, gallega y en galego. En el ano 2006 sacamos a la calle una demo en directo de cinco temas grabada en diciembre de 2005 en Santiago DC, en un concierto a favor e la seleccion gallega de futbol. Ademas, gracias a esta gravacion, formamos parte de un recopilatorio editado por Siareiros Galegos. A partir de ahi,comenzamos a tocar con mas asiduidad y en distintos lugares, incluso fuera de la patria, como en Orereta, Guadalajara o Madrid.
En abril de 2008 publicamos nuestro primer trabajo, KPACHbIN PACCBET. Grabado en los estudios Treboada de A Coruna a finales de 2007 por Paco Liano, y posteriormente publicado por Mai Morirem y Redstar73 records. Diez temas con mucha rabia y fuerza.

The Cabrians are quite a new wonderful group from Mataro, Spain. The album has been released on two labels– Redstar 73 and Liquidator Music. Both great labels that are creating and supporting the thriving reggae scene in Spain. This album embraces wild western themes with upbeat ska, skinhead reggae, and rocksteady all thrown into the mix. Most of the songs seem to be appropriately themed drinking (”Drunkard’s Pride”), violence (”Bang Bang Shot”), and sex (”Pussy Juice” or “Cackie Cackie Monster”). If you are looking for sophisticated pc reggae the album “For A Few Pussies More” should be fare warning enough. The album is sprinkled with sound effects and intros that pull from westerns and early reggae DJ’s that boasted of their badness, bravado, and sexuality (King Stitt, Crystalites, Lee Perry, etc.).
