Pama Intl February 2007 newsletter

Happy New Year to all of you. Extremely belated we know, but busy times in Pamaville has made this our first newsletter of 2007.

So w’happen… well,

In the midst of an absolutely amazing 2006 we somehow found time to write the next studio album AND set up the launch of a brand new label ‘Rockers Revolt’. This month has seen us plough headlong into recording, release the debut on RR and start booking a full UK tour to run from April-September 2007 (confirmed dates below, which include Glastonbury & an album launch party at London’s legendary Jazz Cafe with The Mad Professor Dub show- get your tickets early for that one). We’ve also figured out how to sell the albums, T-shirts and badges from our Myspace page… check that out at http://www.myspace.com/pamainternational and launched Rockers Revolt myspace page… http://www.myspace.com/rockersrevolt

Plenty more dates and news to come. Coming up for the March Newsletter details of shows with The Wailers, Easy Star All-stars, more festival appearances, news of the reissue of the first 3 Pama Intl albums (all of which are currently out of stock) and further details/release date of our 5th studio album.

Hope to see you all real soon at one of the shows.

all the best,
Pama Intl

In The Studio

The Specials guitar maestro Lynval Golding flew in from Seattle this month to lay down his guitar and vocals on Pama Intl’s 5th studio album. Twelve tracks are currently being worked on and early results are rocking. “It’s got a much heavier dub and roots vibe then previous albums, also a real soul thing going on. There’s a lot of work still to be done but there’s already two or three absolute Killer tracks…definite singles”.

The line-up on the album includes Pama Intl stalwarts Fuzz Townshend (drums), Simon Wilcox (trumpet), Lynval (guitar), Finny (vocals) & Sean Flowerdew (keyboards), along with new recruits from last year, Kirk Serivce (bass) and Marli (lead guitar) both from the Lee Perry band. Also, planned a couple of very special guest appearances. More next time.

The as yet untitled album is expected to see a release in June 2007. With a couple of single coming out in April and May 2007.
