Pama Intl May/June newsletter

Hello there! how you doing? Here’s a very quick round up of what’s been going on/what’s coming up in the wonderful world of Pama Intl.

We’ve had some great gigs and some fantastic ones coming up…Jazz Cafe on 8th June with Mad Professor, Glastonbury, our first acoustic sets, Glade Festival, Eastern Haze, more singles coming out, the album well and truly under way, lauching our own label and club night….all go and all very exciting. Busy times afoot. Please pass this onto anyone you think might be interested. And hope to see you at a show very soon.

Pama Intl live…

Thanks for everyone who came out to our first shows of 2007. So far so great…Falmouth, Leeds, Hebden Bridge (what a fantastic place and people!) and Exeter all blinding. Here’s a review of the Exeter show

We played with a band called East Park Reggae Collective in Leeds. Liked them so much we’re bringing them down to London to open the show at the Jazz Cafe- 8 June. Check them out here

The tour continues on the 1st June at Narbeth Queens Hall and runs through to Bestival, taking in Glastonbury, Eastern Haze, Dunstaffnage, Glade and Rebellion festivals along the way. We’re then taking a month off before coming back with a full national tour to promote the next album. Lynval (Specials) flies in from USA end of May, so will be performing with us from there on. A few more dates have been confirmed including Glade Festival. The dates go something like this…

Pama In The Studio…

Recording of the next Pama Intl album is just about complete and features guest appearances from Sir Horace Gentleman (The Specials) and Rico Rodriguez. Titled ‘Pama Intl Love Filled Dub Band’ is penciled for an October’07 release. Mixing starts in June on the singles. Two are planned for release this summer. Expect some surprises on that front. More next time.

Rockers Revolt label

The first release of Pama Intl’s very own Rockers Revolt imprint is out now. Pama Intl meets Manasseh 10″ (RR10-001). It features 4 previously unreleased dubs of tracks on the Pama Intl-Trojan Sessions album. Rocking stuff it is to. You can pick up your copy from

We are just finalising the distribution deal with Universal, which will be in place for the next singles, giving Rockers Revolt superb distro throughout UK, Europe and beond.

Rockers Revolt Brand New Club Night

For those of you in the west of England we are launching a monthly club night at the superb 12 Bar in Swindon. The night takes it’s name from our own label…ROCKERS REVOLT and will run the 3rd Friday of every month kicking off in August with the magnificent Easy Star All-stars from NYC, Sept we’ve got LA’s finest The Aggrolites and Oct Pama Intl.
