Aprovechando la visita de Lisabö el pasado sábado en el Explosivo! Club nos llevamos la unidad móvil DIY del Ciutat Podrida y charlamos con Zulu, miembro del colectivo Bidehuts “Mecanismo para la autoproducción y la libre creación” del que forman parte la misma banda junto a otras como Anari, Willis Drummond o Inero Nero Ni y tras el concierto estuvimos con Eneko, uno de los dos baterias de Lisabö.
Dos entrevistas o dos charlas-tertulias hablando de autoproducción, industria musical, conciertos, sensaciones…. Gracias a Samuel y Dani por colaborar en las respectivas entrevistas.

This is an invasion! The Echos Of Kingston Tour crashed on the Pressure House in Humboldt County, Ca this week. The Delirians came in for an interview and played a nice unreleased tune for us with our guitar and bongos. Then Sammy Kay(The Forthrights/Sammy Kay & The Fast Four) talked to us about what he’s up to lately and played a few acoustic tunes including the Stubborn Allstar’s Tired Of Struggling. Welcome back to another weekly digital dose of Roots Rock Rebel, the only radio show on the planet combining the mighty power of bagels, anarchy, and reggae!
Our special guest on the program this week was Mike Sarason, the lead singer and saxophonist from the Pinstripes, a great ska-reggae band from Cincinnati, Ohio. They have a new album coming out in early February called “I”, and we had a chance to chat with Mike about the new album, as well as their recent kickstarter campaign, which allowed the band to self-finance and produce the new material. Check out the Pinstripes and get your hands on “I”, because it is definitely sounding like one of the hottest albums of the year:
Also on the program this week, we heard brand new stuff from Prince Perry, 1-Stop Experience, Chris Murray, and more! Plus we paid tribute to the late legendary reggae producer Winston Riley, who sadly died in Jamaica on January 19th. Riley was the producer of the infamous “Stalag” riddim, and helped launch the carreers of Sister Nancy, Buju Banton, Cutty Ranks, and so many others. Rest in peace!
